Blog Count, summary of the number of blogs that exist to date

What is the total estimated number of blogs to date? what country have the most number of blogs? what blog hosting provider is on the top in terms of the number of blog they host?

According to the survey of Blog Herald there are approximately 70 million blogs that exist on the Internet to date, the survey was conducted by Duncan - Digg It on July 2006.

Blog count by Blog hosting Service: based on known and rough figures on media report, if a blog host is not listed here probably Blog Herald doesn't have the available data at that time and ask them to send their user data to be included.

These numbers have surely increased by now considering the fact that blogging is becoming more and more popular with Internet users and since the survey was done 6 months ago, Blog herald also predicts that blogs will peak at 400 million before it will decline in number. It means that there's still a huge potential of market in terms of blogging.

One of their survey also shows that over 97% of humans don't have blogs, it means that bloggers are less than 3% of the worlds population. 70 million might seem high enough, but not quite, compared to the number of Internet users worldwide which is around 1.09 billion (survey done by Internet World Stats) bloggers only numbered at 0.6% of the total number of Internet users.

These are the latest stats that i got, I'm still looking for a recent update on this statistics. I will post an update if i ever come across one.
