Google, Top Brand...Again!

For the second year in a row Google tops the annual survey done by brandchannel , an online branding magazine which asked 3,625 visitors in the last quarter of 2006 to name the brand with the most global impact. The result may have brought about by google's the expansion of its online advertising program, a move to bring its email service to mobile devices and the launced of its blogging services last year. The $ 900 million deal with News Corporation to provide service to sites such as MySpace, the purchase of the video site YouTube for $1.65 billion and perhaps the most noteworthy brand achievement last year was the addition of the verb "to google" in two major English-language dictionaries may have made a big impact in helping google top the list. Computer giant Apple barely made it to second as video site YouTube came in third. Wikipedia and Starbuck came in fourth and fifth respectively.
